The Adventure Continues

On Wednesday Megan left Basel for Zurich to meet with global staffing leads at Baxter. To get to Zurich Megan traveled by train. In Europe trains are incredibly affordable and efficient. To travel between Basel and Zurich Megan said it took about 1 hour. She equated it to traveling between the South Shore of Massachusetts to Cambridge. (What a funny analogy to think of!)

From the train station Megan hailed a cab bound for Baxter. Her ride out to their headquarters took about 20 minutes and cost $30. (Talk about a scam!)

The meetings went incredibly well and like Lonza, Baxter HR likes our model and envisions using us once we establish an office in Switzerland.

To travel back to the train station to head back to Basel Megan decided to forgo the insanely expensive cab and try the Zurich tram. In the end she paid 3 dollars and arrived back at the train station with some extra money in her pocket to enjoy a quick lunch guilt-free.

Blast from Megan’s past

Quick “healthy’ lunch… maybe the idea of healthy varies country to country?

The next 10 days are going to be very busy. Megan will have meetings in Paris, Madrid, and Munich. As always, the whole family will be coming along. Stay tuned to see how their meetings go and follow her blog to see the fun activities she and the family are enjoying abroad!
