Megan kicked off one of her last days in Europe with a short train ride from Basel to Luzern this morning. She was traveling back to the city to follow up with the HR manager at Merck. If you remember, the last time Megan traveled to Luzern and Merck she went in the wrong direction and had to backtrack to make it to the city for her meetings. The reason Megan traveled back to Luzern today is because the hiring manager at Merck was super interested in the Pharmalogics recruiting model but she wanted to set aside ample time to talk with Megan and learn more. Hopefully, today’s meeting will go well and we’ll receive more business from Merck in Europe.
In addition to traveling to Luzern for meetings Megan met with business authorities in Basel to gather all the necessary information to set up an office in Basel.
As Megan’s been traveling through the Swiss countryside Eric and the kids have been busy, Maddy and Bailey had soccer camp again today, and then to their surprise (and entertainment) there was a huge Rhine River swim. Apparently over 6,000 people flooded the river and enjoyed food tents on the street below the apartment. As you can see there’s always something going on in Basel and there’s always something new to see.
Tomorrow is going to be very low key for Megan, Eric, and the kids. It will be their last day in Basel so there’s bound to be a bunch of packing to do. Friday, the whole family will fly to London and stay there for the weekend. On Sunday they’ll all venture home, so come Monday we’ll all be seeing Megan in Braintree! Can you believe it’s been a month since she left?!
Check back to stay up to date with all the travel news and the conclusion of the European BD trip. 🙂
